Not many attorneys have spent more time in the courtroom than Neal. 

Having spent two decades prosecuting crimes, including eight years serving as the elected District Attorney of Hamilton County, Tennessee, Neal knows the law in a way few other attorneys have mastered. 

Neal began calling Chattanooga home in 2003. He was born in Knoxville and for most of his childhood lived in Seymour, Tennessee. 

He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University before attending the University of Tennessee College of Law.

In 2019, the Chattanooga/Hamilton County NAACP awarded Neal its' Thurgood Marshall award, making him the first white person to receive the organition's highest civil rights honor.

Neal is a past president of the Board of Directors of the Orange Grove Center. He currently serves on the Board's Legal Committee.
